Let's here it for the Fourth!

I'm giving it another try ...
We started off the Independence Day festivities by getting up at the crack of dawn and going down to watch the hot air balloons launch!  We go every year and it is always so fun and exhausting all at the same time!

After the balloons we went over to the finish line for the 5k/10k races.  Andy and I had a great time visiting with all our running friends, some we haven't seen for years!  Others in the family, however, did not enjoy this part of the day ...

But it was nothing that a few snacks and a seat on the parade route with his BFF couldn't fix! Thanks to the VB's for letting us squeeze in with them!

After a much needed nap we dropped Ty bud off at Gma C's for his own little fireworks party with Uncle Kevin.  And the rest of us headed out to Burger Supreme for some pre-Stadium on Fire nourishment! Here we are anxiously awaiting the show - Cameron refused to get in the picture, his loss!

Which was more fun, hanging out with friends or watching Miley get her groove thing on?! I'd say it was a tie!  Mya and Rachel had a great time together (minus the bloody nose of course)

Sydney yelled, danced and sang along with pals Carlie and Abby

Andy and Cameron showed that they too could dance with the best of them! (the girls were grateful that daddy didn't pull out any of his real dance moves)

I would say that Justin and Lance definitely got as much, if not more attention than Miley did!  They danced, sang and pretty much made fools of themselves all in the name of fun!  Thanks guys, it was a riot!

All in all it was a wonderful day!  We finished off the weekend with a bbq at Gma C's with some of my brothers and their cute families.  And of course the celebration wouldn't be complete without our traditional "Jacobs Street on Fire" - which unfortunately I don't have any pictures of.  Thanks to all our friends and family for a fabulous Fourth of July!

Seriously ...

So I created a great post all about our adventures last week and our 4th of July celebration - and when I published it 3 of the pictures disappeared and the text was all messed up! I know I'm more techno tard than techno geek, but this is getting really annoying!
